The Castlemaine Perkins Brewery was established in 1878 and is now the home of a Queensland icon – XXXX beer. Tours are available and visitors can discover the history behind the XXXX brand and beer in general, learn to pour the perfect glass and taste a truly fresh example of a legend in the Australian Beer Industry. On Wednesday and Saturday, relax afterwards with a BBQ on the balcony. The brewery is available for hire as a function venue and the Ale House Bar offers relaxed lunches Monday to Friday, with a snack menu available at other times. Of course, XXXX is featured through the menu which can be seen on the website.
