The Trade Secret Tale Once upon a time we had a big dream…. our dream was to open a store, a big store, full of big brands at the lowest possible prices. Our vision was (and still is) to be the most affordable big brand fashion and homewares store in Australia, offering a one-stop shop for everything a growing family needs. Our dream became a reality in 1992 when the very first Trade Secret store opened in Southport, on the Gold Coast. The concept was a hit and our Brisbane stores opened in quick succession – Macgregor in 1996, Chermside in 2001 and Alexandra Hills in 2002. Following our expansion in Queensland our dream headed south to Sydney. In 2002 our Mt Druitt store opened in Sydney’s Western Suburbs and in 2004 our Hillsdale store opened in Sydney’s East near Maroubra. In 2006 our Kawana and Townsville stores opened to offer North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast big brand family fashion at Trade Secret’s very cheeky prices. Our latest move saw us open our doors to Fairfield, Sydney in 2007. Trade Secret thrives on offering affordable homewares and fashion for the whole family and with nine stores, Trade Secret’s big dream has only just begun…
