 The Northern Club Launceston has some really amazing restaurants to choose from. One of my favorites during the trip was The Northern Club. A local recommended the place to me and for a good reason. The atmosphere of the restaurant is classy and sophisticated but not snobbish. This is really a place for real, laid back people to enjoy a good meal. The night we were there they had a jazz band playing. It didn’t feel out of place bringing along two younger kids either. The food is superb, which you can expect from many Launceston restaurants, but the prices were even better. There were so many different finger food appetizers to chose from, like mini quiches, pumpkin fritters, lots of oyster choices, and BBQ skewers, just to name a few. The steaks are really great and have an amazing tarragon prawn sauce to go with them.
