 If you love the historical aspect of old arcades, then a visit to the Block Arcade, part of the Collins St precinct will captivate you. You’ll feel transported back in time to the magnificent era of the late 1800s where grand buildings were erected regularly. The shopping is fantastic with a number of high quality retailers holding stores here. The stunning architecture is worth visiting and you can even go on a tour to learn more about the style, design and history of the building. Having been preserved for many years it had a grand refurbishment undertaken in the 1990’s and today it is as grand a building as it would have been when it first opened.
