The Shelter Bar

If it's a famous sbh steak you're looking for, a cool Queensland salad or fresh seafood, The Shelter is the perfect place for you!

The casual dining environment created around the bridge foundations, features indoor and al fresco dining and is open for lunch from midday seven days a week.

The menu has been designed with shared eating in mind and features several meze plates, dips and pizzas that can be enjoyed with friends. As well as featuring all your old favourties like steak sandwiches and the sbh burger, you're sure to find something to tantalize your tastebuds!

Don't forget, The Shelter also serves breakfast every weekend. From 8am on Saturday and Sunday you can relax with the paper, a coffee and indulge in our brand new breakfast menu.

Outback bar

Often described as an 'urban beer garden', The Outback Bar & Grill is a great place to relax and unwind with friends.

Uniquely position directly under the Story Bridge, The Outback also features a laid-back dining area and has plenty of ice cold beer on tap!

For some 50 years, The Story Bridge Hotel has been home to sultry Jazz sessions - now you can enjoy Jazz on Sunday afternoons from 3pm in The Outback. Why not come 'under the bridge', soak up the Queensland sun and enjoy what The Outback Bar & Grill has to offer.

The Heritage Room and Veranda

The Heritage Room is located on the first floor of the original hotel and features sweeping verandahs and stunning city views.  
 
With polished wooden floors, floor to ceiling curtains and two working fire places, this room sets the perfect tone for an intimate private dining experience or a stylish stand up cocktail party.  
 
Dividing into two separate function spaces, The Heritage Room is highly flexible and suits many different occasions. From corporate training sessions to wedding receptions, working lunches or even private dining for lunch or dinner – The Heritage is the perfect room for your event.  
 
The Heritage Room is air conditioned and has an in house music system. 

The Martini Bar

The Martini Bar takes you back to the sultry 1920’s French cocktail set. Superbly decorated with luxurious furnishings - the Martini Bar is certainly one of the swishest party venues Brisbane has to offer.

The verandas surrounding the entire floor provide for an excellent vantage point for the exclusive city views this magnificent room has to offer.

The intimate, sophisticated atmosphere of the Martini Bar makes it a perfect location for a cocktail wedding reception, an eye catching product launch, corporate event or mile stone birthday party. The Martini Bar is limitless – see where this room can take you!

As the name suggests, the bar is host to an amazing cocktail list. Why not enjoy the views while sipping on a Cosmopolitan, perhaps you'd prefer a Strawberry Moijto, or select from our extensive range Martinis, Cocktails and other mixed Drinks. You could even enjoy a fine Cuban Cigar with a glass of Cognac or Tawny Port - the perfect way to celebrate your night.

The Signature Cellar Bar

Step back in time to our recently restored cellar bar. As the original cellar for the hotel when it was built in 1886, the cellar has a cosy ambience and is located underneath the Corner bar. This room is ideal for an intimate dinner party, wine lunches or a stand up cocktail party.
