A co-educational Lutheran school, St Peter’s is considered one of the top mixed sex schools in Brisbane. Catering for years P-12, they also take boarders from year 6 which is two years younger than most boarding schools in Brisbane. The motto for the school is ‘Even Higher’ which encapsulates their goals in education. St Peter’s encourage students to reach for the stars in their quest for academic excellence. It has its own outdoor education facility known as Ironbark and this allows students to participate in a host of outdoor learning adventures in a regional environment some 150km north of Brisbane. It offers an experience for all year 9 students who spend five weeks on the property learning practical farming skills. As there is a large contingent of regional boarding students this is a practical skill many will go on to utilize in their own home environments.
