The magnificent Scienceworks museum is geared towards children and encouraging a love of science and all its many facets. Included here is the Melbourne Planetarium where children can be taken on a tour of the galaxy, discovering everything they ever wanted to know about the Earth and universe as a whole. The Scienceworks museum also has access to a lightning room which gives kids an up close experience of what lightning is like. Running live shows about all things lightning, this is a fascinating display of energy and electricity that will have kids captivated. You can buy tickets and reserve seats for shows online through the Scienceworks and Planetarium website, allowing you to prepare before you come in and know exactly what you’ll be experiencing.
