Royal Exhibition Building

The Royal Exhibition Building located at the Carlton Gardens is a World Heritage Listed building that was built in 1879. The tours available daily when it is not in use allow you to understand the historical significance of this building as well as hear the stories of the people who have been involved.

The exhibition hall is available for hire for private events and the Victorian Museum office can assist with any queries. It is a popular place to hold events and is used by a number of high profile businesses.

It is a stunning example of the optimism of the Melbourne population in the late 19th century and a symbol of hope and prosperity even today.
