For me personally, when I go on vacation I want to get away. This means going someplace where I can forget everything about my job, stresses and so on. However, I’d like to have all this without leaving my comfort zone of amenities. The reason I love Rotorua so much is because it is like stepping into a whole new world without having to endure long, strenuous traveling just to reach the destination.

Getting to Rotorua is actually easier for many Australians than vacationing within the mainland. Instead of driving hours away or taking a plane across country, you can fly to Rotorua directly. There are regular flights from Sydney. Or, you can fly to New Zealand and take a connecting flight.
