 Lake St Clair National Park Pencil Pine Falls One of the best and easiest to reach waterfalls in Lake St Clair National Park is Pencil Pine Falls. If you are just going to do a quick trip to the Cradle Mountain area, this is one of the walks that you shouldn’t miss. The start of the track is right near the visitor center, opposite the Cradle Mountain General Store. You follow the Dove Canyon Track through the woods. The entire path is a boardwalk so you don’t even have to worry about mud. If you see a tour bus pull up, you may not want to take this walk. It can get pretty crowded with people scrambling to take photos. One way is about 1.5 km and you will need just about an hour to do the easy walk.
