When parliament is not sitting, you can take a guided tour through the place of the first Federal Government seating in the country.

Before they moved to Canberra, the federal politicians met in Melbourne. Now the parliament house houses the State Parliamentary offices. Each year they hold an open day in addition to the non-sitting tours available where you can head inside this magnificent and grand old building to see how the state is governed and where big decisions are made.

The Parliament is also available for functions and weddings with in-house catering offering a stunning range of meals for your guests, with up to 600 able to be catered for.

The dining hall is available to the public on non-sitting days so you can also stop in for a bite to eat if you make a reservation earlier.
