Recommended by : valu_melbourne

The National Gallery of Victoria has a stunning range of art from a wide collection of artists, both local and international. There is a series of permanent and travelling exhibitions that come through the gallery and permanent pieces are shuffled and rotated to ensure that regular visitors get to see new pieces. There is also a dedicated area called The Ian Potter Centre, featuring some of the best Indigenous art exhibits that have ever been shown to the public. Admission to all permanent exhibits is completely free of charge and there is access to a coffee shop available as well as souvenirs on sale. You can also find a list of classes and workshops that are offered through the NGV that can be accessed by anyone with an interest in the area. Guided tours by gallery volunteers are available for added information and detail about some of the prominent works housed at the gallery. Opening Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 10:00am 5:00pm
