![]() Kununurra and Bungle Bungle Most people wouldn’t even think of visiting Kununurra if it wasn’t the base for exploring Bungle Bungle in Purnululu National Park. However, Kununurra is a town which deserves respect and credit of its own. There are so many amazing attractions to be seen in the area. The scenery is gorgeous and you will be awed by the Cockburn Mountain range, the gorges, the vast plains, and the feeling of really being “out there.” There really is no better way to just get away from the rush and crowds than the Kimberly. You will love Mirima National Park, which is often called mini Bungle Bungle. Kelly’s Knob Lookout gives you a spectacular view of the valley. There is a giant rock which looks like Buddha or an elephant, depending on from which direction you look at it. There are flights you can take over the largest diamond-producing mine in the world and many other great tours.
