 Top 20 Travel Destinations: Phuket, Thailand Dino Park Mini Golf A few days into our Phuket holiday, we were looking for a way to kill some time before the sunset. Plus, we wanted to do something for our kids. The hotel manager recommended Dino Park Mini Golf and it was absolutely fantastic. Let me first say that this place is not just for kids. True, if you are serious about golf you will go to one of Phuket’s large golf courses. But Dino Park is for those who really just want to kick back and have a few great laughs. As the name would suggest, Dino Park mini golf is completely Jurassic themed. What we didn’t expect was how intricate the models and settings would be. Every hole has a life-size dinosaur, some of which you can even climb right up onto. They really did an amazing job of transforming the entire golf course into a prehistoric land. As you walk through the course, there are dinosaur heads popping out at you with their jaws open. I wish that we would have gone at night. The dinosaurs probably look even better lit up. Plus, there is a volcano which erupts at 8 pm.

One of the best things about Dino Park is the bar and restaurant. The food is really amazing. They have burgers and some western food but also a lot of really great Thai food. The staff all dresses up as cave men and women, much like characters from the Flintstones. Might I add that the selection of alcohol is huge. You will really have to restrain yourself here if you come with the kids- it’s too easy to get drunk! Dino Park Mini Golf is open daily from 10am-Midnight. |
