Right alongside the Brisbane River sits Colmslie Beach Reserve. This is a fantastic family leisure-spot and the natural surroundings have been enhanced with a number of facilities for children. This includes the Octopus Garden playground and the bike path which could probably test some adults as well. With picnic and BBQ facilities, it can become a favourite amongst families looking for an affordable activity the whole family will enjoy. For those small minds interested in the workings of aviation, they can view planes coming and going from the airport nearby. After all those adventures, the beach is ideally placed to cool off the young and young at heart. This has been rated one of Brisbane’s top ten parks, and it’s easy to see why.
