Church Saint Ilija

Coober Pedy Australia

Recommended by : Vukovic

This is considered to be the most beautiful underground church in the world. It is an impressive building made in the style as the Serbian Morava mediaeval architectural school. The most interesting thing about this Serbian church is that all the icons have been sculpted into the sandstone walls. The paintings were made by Serbian artist Dragomir Jasovic.
