Cable Beach - Broome

Cable Beach One of the main reasons for coming to Broome is Cable Beach.

There are 22 kilometers of perfect white sand and turquoise ocean water. What is so great about this fabulous beach is that you can still find your own private haven on the beach.

There are no obnoxious venders selling you overpriced trinkets or the sound of jet skis. In the bustling parts of Cable Beach, you have some surfers, lounge chairs, boogie boards, showers and can even catch swim club competitions.

The closest thing to a tourist trap is the camel rides. If you don’t mind being a tourist, you will enjoy the rather hokey but fun tour.

You can feel the romance of Broome if you head down to Cable Beach in the morning. You will be the first to leave a footprint in the sand, making you feel like you are exploring unchartered territory. In the evening, you will love eating a picnic on the white sand.

As the sun goes down, the sky changes from blues to pinks, purples and mauves. All of these colors are reflected off the ocean and the view is amazing.
