![]() Margaret River Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory If you aren’t a snorkeler, you can still get a view under the sea. Busselton Jetty has an underwater observatory which takes you down 8 meters below sea level. Once in the chamber, you will have a great view of the reef through 11 windows at various levels. To get to the observatory, you first walk the 1.6km jetty into the sea. It is free to go out onto the jetty and that alone is worth experiencing. Once you are out at the end, you really feel like you are in the middle of the sea. Then, you walk down the 60 stairs into the underwater observatory. There is a lift which you can use, but only for special needs and it is advised that you call ahead of time. Up to 40 people can go down at one time. This is really a great experience for people of all ages. You will love seeing the brightly colored coral, sponge, fish and other marine life right up close, but without even getting wet. Busselton Jetty also has an interpretive center, a train, and a museum. Phone: +61 8 9754 0900
