 We were having a hard time finding cheap but good accommodation in Alice Springs. We finally settled on the Alice Motor Inn and were really glad that we did. The rooms are your standard Australian hotel setup with good beds, bathroom and a decent amount of space. There is air conditioning and a pool - two things which are a must in any Alice Springs hotel. There is also a small BBQ and picnic area. The real reason for staying here isn’t the rooms though: it is the staff. Jacque in particular was really fabulous with providing us with information such as where to eat and when to visit certain sites. The hotel is just about a 10 minute walk to the Todd Street Mall where most of the restaurants and shops are located.
